About Us
We’re excited to bring something new to Buford, GA, by transforming a former Waffle House into a take-out-only barbecue spot that’s all about convenience, flavor, and family. We're reimagining this southern staple into a modern hub for families on the go—whether you’re juggling school activities or commuting home, we’re here to make your meals delicious and easy.
What's different?
The short, it ain't. I also say it's highly seasoned and highly opinionated. What's that mean? It means that if you're a person who has adopted the idea that "I just want to taste the smoke and meat" then IDBBQ probably isn't the place for you.
Much like all BBQ, everyone and their uncle are experts when it comes to a good pulled pork. I get it! There are many, many other great tasting and traditionally seasoned barbecue restaurants within 10 miles of our location. If you haven't already had theirs, I would highly encourage you to have it. They are excellent!
Who We Are
It's Different BBQ Company, is a family-owned restaurant serving traditional American Barbecue. Not fusion. Not Korean or Chinese. Just good ole' American Barbecue with our spin on it. Will we ever feature any specialty items like brisket-filled bao buns with a house hot chili oil or a creamy Mexican street corn topped with pork, cilantro, and cotija cheese? Maybe! We'll get there when we get there.
When Are We Open?
Our initial days of operation will be Thursday through Saturday, with plans to expand to lunch and dinner hours on Monday and Tuesday as we grow. Breakfast could even be on the horizon if our community wants it.
Our Commitment to Gluten and Nut Free
We aim to create a menu that offers something for everyone, making it easy for families to eat together around the dinner table or on the go. We are committing to being gluten and nut free. Where possible, provide delicious alternatives for other common allergens and food intolerances like: dairy, soy, and egg.
We're a barbecue place, but it doesn't mean we ignore our vegetarian/vegan family members too. We are working on something a little more thoughtful than a salad; such as, a creamy, dill chickpea/lentil macaroni served with a slice of smoked black bean loaf and a dessert of banana pudding. Yes, all vegan!
